A column 116th Cavalry Brigade Combat Team M1A2 tanks road march through the streets of Cincusora, Romania, after being offloaded from the Voila, Romania, railhead earlier that day. The tanks were in Romania to be used in Exercise Saber Guardian 2016, a U.S. Army Europe-led exercise, in the spirit of partnership for peace. GOWEN FIELD, ID – The 116th Cavalry Brigade Combat Team unveiled the 116th Cavalry Brigade Fallen Soldier Memorial and re-dedicated the 116th Cavalry Association’s memorial Friday at Gowen Field.
Soldiers from the Idaho Army National Guard are currently training in four countries and will deploy to train in eight others between now and the end of summer. None of these countries include Afghanistan or Iraq. Citizen-Soldiers rely on their civilian and military skill sets to train and work with soldiers in other countries.
